創作背景介紹： 
在繪畫藝術領域 ，在下選擇主修 從1880年開始襲捲全世界的印象派 ...主義 ，而這張作品是在研究印象派 色彩 、光影理論 與 實戰技術 的一幅研究之作品 ，主要以莫內的空氣感、色彩、光影 、堆疊理論為學習對象 ， 會想要畫竹子是覺得... 

在下是這麼想~  莫內、 雷諾瓦、 梵谷等這些印象派的大師 ，他們並沒有真正來過東方亞洲 甚或台灣 ，在下假設與想像...如果他們來到台灣~ 他們會如何用他們的畫筆來畫這些....只有在東方才有的風景與 人文 景觀 ， 對於1880 年那場席捲全世界的印象派...熱情之火 ，或許沒能來得及參予 ~ 但這些天才大師們   對繪畫藝術的熱情 深深感動了我  ~

I like impressionism painting theory, style and skills and I learn impressionism theory and skills with a oil artist since 2012.
And I also like bamboo plant very much. Bamboo is ubiquitous in Taiwan and Asia. So I try to use the impressionism skills to express the beauty of bamboo.

As I was a child I often went to play around with a dog in the bamboo forest as this. :)

右邊三位是我三姊的小孩，左邊那位是我四姊的小孩!

作品名稱:  Innocent  點亮仙女棒 ~

小時後，我們家是一個大家族 ，過年過節的時候， 許多的堂哥、堂姊 、表哥、表姊都會回來 ，記得小時候 ，與表兄弟姐妹 、堂兄弟姐妹一起玩的歡樂時光 ，人與人之間那一種 purely innocent 的感覺 ~ 現在自己已經長大 ，而現在換這些我姐的小朋友們 ~ 過年過節一起回外婆家
一起玩 ~ 這一幅畫 ~  是想要喚醒 ...每個人內在~ 所曾經經歷 Purely innocent 的印象與記憶 ~ 有一些價值 ...是永恆的 ~ 是超越一切的 ~ 不管經歷怎麼樣的人生旅程 ~  Always  記得最初...與 最真的  那一個自己  ~ Innocent series !  

Behind work story :  

Originally  I was industrial design ( for many years ) but I don't have professional art painting skills training before.)

In 2012 I had a trip visiting east coast ocean of  Taiwan. I was so touched by the 7 Star Ocean's beauty in Hwa Liean.  So after the trip I made decision to learn painting. (  learning painting is one of my dream as a child also )

So in 2012 in February I found a professional oil artist  teacher to learn painting skills from very basic pencil sketch to start.

Last year ( in 2012 ) in Moon festival in Chinese society we would have family gathering. And my elder sister's kids came back to celebrate Moon Festival. And their kids ( my nephew ) played the traditional game , firing on the firecrackers in the front yard. When they lighten on the fire I was so touched by their moment and innocent faces. So at time time I had the idea to paint this subject.  But so pity that night my camera was not at my hand. So I couldn't catch the touching moment's photo.

But I kept this in mind. I told myself that next time I will picture and record it down for painting. In 2013 in February we had another big Chinese Festival , it was Lantern Festival. So I waited for this day for months. Once again they came back to celebrate the lantern festival. This time my camera was prepared and ready. So I  took chance to shoot many photos for reference.  And Then I spent about 1 month ( April to May ~2013 ) to complete this work.

What was this work want to convey? 

This is a kind of tradition and popular activity in Chinese society.  I believe everyone in Taiwan and in Chinese society has the same experience like this painting. And everyone had the experience to play the activity  with neighbors or cousins as childhood. But after growing up some of the relationships are changed. 

I hope when people seeing this work they can recalled the innocent days as a child.  And return ( restore to in mind and soul ) to the innocent kid...  because inside everyone's heart live a  innocent child.   

每個人的心中~  都活著一個小孩  ... 
希望這幅畫能觸動每一個人小時候的自己~ 
喚醒~ 活在每個人心中的~ 那一個 innocent kid ~ 
再次活回小時候的那一個自己~ 尋找回...小時候的夢想~ 
長大之後~ 應該勇敢去實踐~ 小時候曾有過的夢想 !

My name is Michael Chang .   I live in Taichung City   in central Taiwan , Eastern Asia.  

  My job for a long time has been an industrial designer , and since 2012 I started to cross over to the fine art exploring and studying~ till 2023 it has been 11 years so now I'm a oil painting artist as well.

And  I joined Toastmasters International public speaking organization  since 2000.   Now I am kind of Toastmasters school alumni. ^^  I am glad to meet friends from the world and hope I can share the information about  the development of Design , Art in Taiwan  and my creation works in Art & design and what I'm interested and playing in ... and the truth wisdom of the Universe and Human being's body etc. with all friends.
